We’ll welcome you in and head into a private treatment room. You'll be able to share your story, symptoms and goals without feeling rushed.
You'll get a thorough, head-to-toe evaluation based on your goals and symptoms. We often look at posture, breathing, abdominal and hip strength, range of motion/flexibility, as well as functional movements such as squats and lunges. This could include an internal pelvic floor muscle exam if you consent.
We’ll develop a treatment plan that will start on day 1, and you'll leave with a home program.
We know coming to pelvic floor therapy can be intimidating, but we’ll make sure you're comfortable throughout your treatment.
Our goal is for you to feel educated and empowered by the end of the session.

You’ll log into the Simple Practice patient portal for the virtual appointment. Have a yoga mat/carpet and a bit of space so we can asses your movement and see how your body moves. It’s recommended to use a computer/laptop, but cell phone works too. Good WiFi is key, so we can have the best connection.
Ps we totally understand needing to tend to a new baby or other children.

We recommend starting at the beginning of your second trimester of pregnancy, unless symptoms start sooner. We often see you monthly throughout pregnancy, then at 34 weeks for a pelvic floor birth prep appointment and 37 weeks for a postpartum recovery education appointment.
We, then, resume pelvic floor PT at 4-6 weeks postpartum. Then, every 2 weeks until 12 weeks. After this point, we will asses what is best moving forward, maybe monthly, maybe 3 months from now.
We will work together to find what is best for you and your needs.

We do NOT take insurance. We are out of network providers. However, you can use an HSA/FSA card.
We can also give you a superbill, (special receipt that includes our diagnosis codes & procedure codes) that you can then submit to your insurance for out of network benefits. Every plan is different so please contact your insurance for what they might cover.
We don’t take insurance so we can provide you with the quality care you deserve without the restrictions from insurance. We decide what the best treatment, frequency, and duration is, not your insurance company.
